The next meeting of the Corporate Governace Group will take place on Wednesday 6th May 2009 at 1430 at the RICS. It was a struggle to get a venue for the revised date - many thanks to RICS. The Agenda and Minutes are on the web-site under 'Meetings - Working parties - Corporate Governance'. You will need to log in to access the papers. Your user name comprises your first name and surname joined together without space. The UKIPG Secretary will be absent for this meeting - in fact from 1st May. The guest speaker is Judith Bell, Director of the Tavistock Consultancy Service, who will bring insights from Tavistock's work on organisational development; the dynamics of leadership, authority and delegation; and the relationships between individuals, their roles, the work of the organisation and the environment in which it operates, to our world of councils, boards and committees in professional and regulatory bodies.
Kristina Ingate, the outgoing Chairman, has worked hard both to get this meeting together, and to engage three of the current representatives in 'team leadership' of the group for the future. It would help both Kristina and RICS if you could confirm your attendance to Kristina (link on web-page).
