QAA and UKIPG Forum for PSRBs is on Wednesday 18th February in London.
Reminder of Event, Current Programme, and a proposal to raise the 'Panel on Fair Access to the Professions' at the meeting.
A reminder to Main Group and FE&HEWP members that the QAA and UKIPG Forum for Professional and Statutory Regulatory Bodies (PSRB) will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th February 2009. The programme is attached.
It would be helpful if those registered to attend could flag up any issues that they intend to raise, in advance of the meeting. The UKIPG Chairman (Jane Hern) will be co-chairman of the Forum.
It would also be useful if any UKIPG member bodies which cannot be represented could let the UKIPG Secretary know of any points that they would like to be raised on their behalf. If anyone still wishes to register, the contact is Susan Melvin at QAA.
The UKIPG intends to use the 'Working Together' Item to flag up the evidence required to respond to the DIUS 'Panel on Fair Access to the Professions - Call for Evidence'. We understand that most UKIPG member bodies will have been addressed directly by Alan Milburn MP on this matter. Again, it would be useful to know in advance of any key matters (other than the obvious, such as 'we have done it all before for the "Gateways" project' and 'we don't start from the assumption that it is unfair anyway') that they think ought to be raised. It would be useful to have QAA 'on side' with this Panel, if possible.
